A leading manufacturer of modular office solutions for offshore installations has installed an Elcon vertical panel saw for cutting timber and other materials.
Aberdeen-based Aiken Group, whose work includes projects for oil rigs operated by BP and Shell, needed a vertical saw for cutting a variety of materials.
Aiken chose an Elcon 155DSX, featuring a pneumatically-operated moveable frame and a heavy-duty 5.5kW motor providing two saw spindle speeds together with a Niels atomising spray lubrication system and moisture filter.
Dust extraction equipment was also provided together with delivery and commissioning services using the company’s own specialist transport and engineers.
