The new lamination equipment incorporates synchronised pore capability to reproduce highly authentic natural wood finishes.

"The new lamination line has been added alongside the existing lines, which will ensure our chipboard products continue to meet the exacting quality standards demanded by the UK furniture sector and provide us with the capability to produce synchronised pore boards," said Egger UK joint managing director Bob Livesey.

He said the investment will improve service, efficiency, flexibility and the number of decorative options available.

Egger followed its tradition of naming lamination lines and has called this one Elizabeth to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
