EcoBlu Products (ECOB) has secured a contract to provide Red Shield coated lumber and trusses for an 88-home development being constructed by a national homebuilder in Ontario, in California.

ECOB was awarded the framing contract by Frame Right Construction, a US-based and environmentally conscious framing company. The contract will see the construction of two-storey homes that range from 1,828-2,054ft².

Frame Right Construction has awarded a contract in excess of US$1m in gross revenues, for ECOB, to supply lumber and trusses for all 88 homes, with three models shipping immediately.

ECOB has been asked to deliver the new homes meeting California new 2011 energy codes, which include solar power, radiant barrier roof sheathing and 2×6 exterior walls for added insulation value.

Red Shield, the technology for which is patent pending, offers wood protection, preservation, and fire safety to timber building components, from joists, beams and panelling, to floors and ceilings.
