A major timber market survey covering eastern Australia has been published by Forests NSW.
The survey follows extensive interviews with timber companies in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.
Amost half the timber trade in the region has been captured in the survey.
The report, compiled by URS Forestry, covers timber product supply and quality issues, forecasts and analysis of price movements, plus domestic conditions for sawn timber, panels and engineered wood products.
