The forestry sector must embrace e-business or risk being left behind. according to industry groups.
South West Woodland Renaissance, England Forest Industries Partnership and Forest Enterprise say that adopting e-business can increase competitiveness, drive out inefficiencies in the supply chain and grow customer loyalty.
The groups are hosting an event in Taunton on July 1 to explore internet business, including buying and selling, servicing customers and collaborating with business partners. Case studies will feature large and small companies who use cutting-edge solutions to break into new markets, find new customers and improve their supply chain.
