Donaldson Timber Engineering (DTE) is making inroads into the Irish market with the opening of its first facility in the country.
The 20,000ft2 purpose-built plant at Mountmellick, County Laois, has the capacity to produce up to 3,000 roof trusses per week and will also introduce the Finnjoist I-joist engineered flooring system to the Irish market.
Brendan Flanagan, general manager of DTE Ireland, said: “Our intention is to become one of Ireland’s key suppliers of engineered timber roof trusses and floor products.”
The plant is the eighth facility in the DTE Group, which distributes more than 20,000 trusses weekly throughout the UK and overseas.
