Logging truck drivers in the US are stepping up their protest against high fuel prices.

Demonstrations have been held in several areas with the protestors saying the high prices could force some of them out of business. Others claim they will not have enough money for safety mainetenance.

Prices have risen by around 50 cents a gallon in the past year and the protestors hope their demonstrations will reach government ears.

Some drivers have said timber companies should pay a surcharge to offset the increases.
