A delivery driver for Darlington Timber Supplies Ltd has been seriously injured in an accident.
The 37-year-old driver had been making a delivery at engineering firm Henry Williams on the Albert Hill Industrial Estate in Darlington when his flat bed truck was in collision with a gate.
Gordon Hodgson, director of Darlington Timber Supplies Ltd, confirmed the driver worked for the company.
The driver was flown by air ambulance to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital, where he is being treated.
