After 20 years as managing director and chief executive of Stenner Ltd, Doug Shopland has passed the roles on to Bruce Clothier.
“To let go of the management of the company that you have lived 24/7 for so long has proven quite traumatic, but it is time for the younger generation to move the company forward,” said Mr Shopland. “We have spent almost 12 months making sure that the transition has been as smooth as possible.”
He will remain involved as chairman and as a non-executive director, working particularly in sales and collaboration with other companies, and pursue his other interests, including his role as chair of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
