More than 80 timber sliding sash and bull’s eye windows have been installed at a new 10-bedroom Dorset manor house.

A combination of quality and price clinched the contract for British Woodworking Federation member Ambass-A-Door, according to its managing director David Lomax. Most units came from the company’s Sandringham range, featuring traditional sash cords and weights, increased weather stripping and double glazing.

A series of arched sash windows were supplied along a cloistered link between the main house, stable block and orangery. Ambass-A-Door is using a new Glasurit paint finish designed to eliminate yellowing around knots.
