Leaderflush Shapland had planned the closure for the previous autumn before the business was acquired in August 2011 by Laidlaw Interiors Group (LIG).
LIG said it had since conducted a review of its door manufacturing operations and confirmed the Barnstaple site would now close. The company said it intended to invest further in its combined door business following the acquisition of Mansfield door manufacturer Timbmet Door Solutions Ltd (TDSL).
The £7.8m deal was completed last week following approval by the Office of Fair Trading.
