The DLH Group has achieved its first ISO 14001 environmental certification.
Subsidiary Gabonaise Industrielle des Bois (GIB) was issued with its certificate by independent auditor Bureau Veritas.
DLH vice-president Robert Hunink said GIB was among the first timber companies in Gabon to achieve ISO 14001 certification.
GIB is based in Port-Gentil and specialises in rough sawn air-dried and kiln-dried okoumé, with an annual capacity of about 50,000m³ of logs.
ISO 14001 demonstrates compliance with national laws, continual improvement of environmental performance across all activities, reduction of pollution and health and safety.
