Architects will be given the lowdown on the use of European oak veneer in the award-winning Kings Place Concert Hall during the latest seminar in the Wood Talks series.

Sir Jeremy Dixon, of Dixon Jones Architects, along with Arup Acoustics, will talk about the development and design of the venue during the seminar at London’s Building Centre on June 30 at 6.30pm.

Chairing the event will be Giles Downes of Siddell Gibson architects who will talk about why Kings Place was deemed the Gold winner at the 2009 Wood Awards.

Wood Talks, which will be followed by a drinks reception, is supported by timber industry promotional campaign Wood for Good.
