Reduced demand for particleboard, OSB and MDF was reported by panel manufacturers at the European Panel Federation’s recent meeting.
Members at the meeting held in Brussels said September 11 had caused reduced demand at a time when sales volumes had been picking up.
The dip follows a poor first half of 2001 which saw reductions in sales compared with the record acheived in 2000.
