The continuing popularity of timber decking is reflected in strong sales growth of Howarth Timber’s Arbordeck range.
The company has reported a 30% sales rise for the brand so far this year, with the figures for April and May exceeding total sales in 2000. A new 5in reversible deck board is proving a hit, minimising stock holding for distributors while maintaining the availability of the two main deck board designs.
Arbordeck business manager Terry Blackwood said the trend was for a simpler look, with stop-chamfered balustrades being preferred over traditional turned wood. Smooth deck boards were also proving popular.
