Two new web-based information sources aimed at building designers and specifiers of outdoor wood have been launched by the Timber Decking & Cladding Association (TDCA).

The first, www.timbercladding.org, is aimed at raising awareness about the range of timber cladding materials available and promoting quality standards and good design and installation practices.

The second new resource is The Knowledge Bank – a storehouse of information and continuous professional development (CPD) resources about cladding, decking and outdoor wood. It provides access to 4-minute online mini presentations on subjects such as “Choosing timber for decks and boardwalks”.

Those who register are also provided with free access to the Wood for Good online CPD timber academy and architects can request CPD seminars on any aspect of deck design, external cladding or wood protection technology.
