The shipment follows an increase in production at the company’s Jarl Timber mill in Sweden to meeting rising demand from both UK and European markets.
“We see a steady demand for C24 continuing through the year,” said CWP softwood director Jerry Wilson. “Jarl Timber is able to produce 6m lengths, whereas many Swedish mills will only cut up to 5.4m. We also aim to increase our growth in the Swede Speed direct trailer service.”
CWP also runs a regular service between Riga and Creeksea using its own vessel, the Mosvik.
