The importer and distributor’s due diligence system is based on the Timber Trade Federation’s Responsible Purchasing Policy and includes regular supplier verification checks and supplier audits.
“We are delighted to have been able to introduce these systems comfortably ahead of the deadline,” said Crown Timber operations director Simon Henry.
“The due diligence system will ensure that we meet all requirements of this new legislation, as well as other relevant standards.”
Crown supplies roof truss timber, CLS, carcassing, battens, glulam, decking and Boise engineered wood products, as well as treatment services.
