Denholme-based CR Taylor Timber Ltd is to continue to operate from its Thornton Road site in Bradford after customers rallied against a decision to temporarily close the branch.

The company had considered closing the branch due to the economic environment, but reversed the decision upon “opposition from existing customers”.

“We’ve inevitably seen demand dip like many firms in our sector but CR Taylor is now stronger than ever and we are keen to build on our position as a key supplier and employer within the area,” said sales director Charles Taylor.

“We are also seeing a growing demand for our engineered timber solutions including our roof truss manufacturing facility and as one of the only suppliers in the region for these kind of made-to-measure structures we are feeling positive about the future of the business.”

Mr Taylor will now to take on a managerial role at Thornton Road, as the company strives to “ensure our customers receive the best possible service and products”.
