Eight timber-related entries feature in the newly published Construction Products Innovation and Achievement guide, a showcase of some of the best building industry products.

Kingpsan’s WoodTherm product, in the energy and carbon saving category, combines a natural wood veneer façade with an insulated panel system.

Senior Architectural Systems Ltd’s hybrid timber/aluminium windows are also featured in the same category due to their UK manufacture rather than being imported.

The SupaWall timber construction system, manufactured by Maple Timber Frame and Scotframe Timber Engineering, is a third product listed in the carbon saving section, while a fourth is Edgetech Inc’s Super Spacer TriSeal Premium spacer for windows.

Laidlaw Solutions Ltd’s Orbis Integra doorsets range, in the improvements in site efficiency category, features a steel frame/timber doorset system, which Laidlaw claims reduces installation time by up to 75%.

Knauf Insulation’s mineral wool with Ecose technology, designed for timber frame wall, floors and roof installations, uses a natural binder rather than petroleum-based substances.
