Jim Coulson, the director of Technology For Timber Ltd (TFT), based in Ripon in Yorkshire, has again been part of the two-person team representing the north of England on the long-running BBC Radio 4 show, Round Britain Quiz. His partner, as before, was Diana Collecott, a retired lecturer from Durham University.
Mr Coulson first appeared on the show in 2009.
As well as being past president of the Institute of Wood Science and a member of the board of the Wood Technology Society, Mr Coulson has talents outside the world of timber: he is one of the UK’s top crossword setters.
He has just finished recording the 2011 series of the radio programme which will be broadcast from August 15 on Mondays at 1.30 pm, and repeated on Sundays at 11.00 pm.
