Cotswold Manufacturing is holding an open day on June 17 to showcase its state-of-the-art facilities following a move to new premises last September.

The doorset specialist formed six years ago by three partners from major UK door companies, is throwing open its own doors as part of an event with UK Land to showcase the facility at the Teesside Industrial Estate, Stockton-on-Tees.

“They have done a marvellous job on the building. It is very impressive and has been well received by our customers,” said Cotswold sales director Barry Ditchburn.

The company was started in 2005 in an industrial unit in Billingham by Mr Ditchburn, Stuart Burnett and Ken Napper, with one member of staff. The company now employees 31 and two apprentices, and is a £10m-a-year business, It was the first in the UK to have a robot-operated CNC door manufacturing machine.

The company supplies doorsets and screens to hotels, schools, campuses and the Ministry of Defence.
