The development, at the former Renny Lodge Hospital in Newport Pagnell, is one of three sites to be regenerated by the consortium, which comprises Kingspan‘s structural insulsated panel division Kingspan TEK and housebuilder Crest Nicholson plc.

The development will consist of 68 energy-efficient, low carbon, future-proofed affordable homes.

Each property has been designed to exceed the Design for Manufacture competition criteria, which challenged the housebuilding industry to create high-performance, architecturally-designed homes for under £60,000.

Jeff Tomlinson, national sales manager for the TEK building system, said the panels, which consist of polyurethane rigid insulation sandwiched between OSB sheathing, would be assembled to create each house structure “in a matter of days”.
