ConFor expects the current upward trend in demand for forest products and timber prices to continue, creating a “more positive market environment”.
In ConFor’s newly-published Business Plan 2007-2009, chief executive Stuart Goodall said the federation team was relishing the opportunity to play its part in an industry which was both “increasing in importance and relevance”.
ConFor intends to build membership numbers over the next few years, engage in market promotion work and make the industry’s voice heard by government and others.
The federation’s total income for 2007 is projected to be £890,000, increasing to £940,000 in 2009, with expenditure exactly the same figures.
