A distinctive diamond frame building houses the new Smile Gentle Dental Centre in Exeter, Devon.
Designed by David Sheppard Architects to create a calm and relaxing environment, the centre was constructed by Benfield Advanced Timber Technology using mainly sustainable wood materials, including cedar shingles and larch poles.
As part of the construction, sealing tapes from Compribrand Ltd were used to seal joints between each section of the curved timber sub-frame, and also for the perimeter sealing of the frames associated with the building’s large glazed areas.
