The Doncaster-based company has secured a number of high profile contracts to supply composite doorsets, comprising pre-finished hardwood frames and glass reinforced plastic doors, to local authorities and housing associations in renovations and new build projects.

JELD-WEN said the projects follow an earlier agreement to supply 80,000 composite doorsets to Sheffield Homes as part of a five year deal.

Mark Roberts, JELD-WEN product manager, said housing associations and local authorities were recognising the improved thermal performance and durability of composite doorsets.

“Our new European Research & Development Centre is playing a major part in the specification of our composite doorsets to meet the needs of our public sector customers,” he said.
