Clifton Joinery has made up to 60 timber windows for the conversion of Bedminster Police Station into a mixed use development.

The Bristol-based company also supplied a conservatory and oak doors in the contract, which was worth about £130,000.

Many of the windows supplied by Clifton for the stone-built police station were single-glazed, as planning permission was refused for double-glazing.

Windows included 3m-high curved headed box sash units, plus some large diameter round windows.

Clifton also refurbished large timber entrance gates at the building, which Kier Group is converting into 29 apartments, a library, doctor’s surgery, shops and restaurants.
