Clarks Wood Co Ltd of Bristol has taken delivery of one of the first shipments of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified cedar from Bolivia, South America.

Managing director Geoff Osborne said: “The availability of commercially available FSC timber is important to the credibility of certified timber. Continuity of supply is what our customers expect, especially when specifiers are planning many months ahead of their requirement.

“Due to the complexity of FSC certification it is often difficult to to source lesser known species on a regular basis. Clarks Wood’s purchasing policy is to ensure that selected FSC timber offered is available for the long term. This will give architects and specifiers the confidence they need when choosing suitable species for their project.”
