More than 350 delegates heard about the rapid changes in China’s wood products industry during a conference in Dalian on October 26-27.
Joint event organisers RE Taylor & Associates Ltd/International Wood Markets Research Inc and Chinawood International are already planning a conference for November 2005 following positive feedback.
Topics discussed included a market overview, imports and the Chinese domestic market, exports and a rundown of how to do business in China.
Speakers included representatives from Finnforest, British Columbia Wood, the Chinese State Forestry Administration and WWF.
