A new strategy to push forward future forestry development in China has been unveiled.
According to the State Forestry Administration, nearly one-quarter of China will be forested by 2020, reaching 23% in the next 10-15 years – an increase of 5%.
A spokesperson said the increase in forests would outpace what the country lost or consumed during the growth of its economy.
Trees will be planted throughout China according to local conditions.
