The Nordic Timber Council has started distribution of DIY leaflets as part of its Nordic First campaign to promote sales of Nordic softwood for garden products and furniture.
The pamphlets, fronted by TV gardener Charlie Dimmock, are being sent out to major timber stockists and instruct keen DIYers how to make a range of products, including timber garden seats, tables and chairs.
The leaflets – available free to consumers via point of sale displays – form just part of the £1m a-year Nordic First promotion (TTJ October 28). The campaign, which has a website, www.nordicfirst.com/korr, has also seen the Nordic Timber Council take its ‘roadshow’ to 28 major retailers in England and Wales.
