US exporters of southern pine are using new documentation to make sure their shipments do not get held up in UK ports.
A number of exporters have already successfully used the Southern Pine Council’s “Certificate of Legality and Sustainability”, which was formulated after southern pine shipments were getting stalled in UK ports last year. The certificate is available for use by members of the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) and the Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association.
