Cheap imports and a downturn in housing construction are being blamed for the loss of 150 jobs at Carter Holt Harvey timber mills in Victoria and South Australia.
Meanwhile, in New Zealand, workers at Carter Holt Harvey’s Ruakaka timber plant are striking for a 5% pay rise.
