Canfor has announced a revised summer mill curtailment programme which will remove 95 million board feet from production.

The curtailments started on June 22 and will last until mid-August, with individual mills shutting for one- to four-week periods, depending on the operation. The cuts affects spruce-pine-fir (SPF) and southern yellow pine.

Canfor recently announced the indefinite closures of its Rustad, Vavenby and Radium sawmills, representing an additional 560 million board feet of SPF lumber production on an annualised basis.
