Bangladesh is attempting to expand its forest cover by asking all of its 130 million residents to plant one tree a year.
The country hopes planting will reduce the affects of global warming and rising sea levels in the Bay of Bengal. Its forest department will offer 56 million tree plants free or at a nominal cost.
