The guide is designed to offer expert assistance to joinery manufacturers in helping them meet health and safety requirements.

It covers a range of issues, including accident reporting, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, guidance on electricity at work and noise, as well as training and risk assessment.

“It will help all companies improve their health and safety provision, but it will be particularly helpful for smaller joinery businesses that do not have the in-house resources of larger firms,” said BWF director Richard Lambert.
