Health and safety workshops will form part of the British Woodworking Federation‘s (BWF) series of open regional meetings across the country.
The first combined event will be held on July 17 at BWF member Premdor in Castle Hedingham, Essex, and is open to all those involved in the joinery industry, including prospective BWF members. Subsequent events will be held at Lewes on September 19, Bristol (October 16), Preston (November 6) and Atherstone (December 4).
Health and safety matters will be covered during the mornings, with topics including legal responsibilities for the health and safety of employees and suitability and maintenance of woodworking equipment. The regional meetings are in the afternoons and will include an open forum for discussion.
