The newly-elected president of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) told the organisation’s AGM that his main aim in the post will be helping to ensure the success of member companies.
Ian Purkis, technical director of Jeld-Wen UK Ltd, succeeds Pauline Kelly as president.
“My objective is to focus on ensuring that the BWF continues to support its members, helping to increase their sales andprofitability through this current difficult market,” he said.
Also at the meeting, the BWF demonstrated its revamped website to members. It now includes discussion forums where they can address issues affecting their business and “share knowledge and experience”.
