The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) is helping its members save money through a new insurance partnership with Towergate Risk Solutions.

Members who take out insurance with Towergate can save 20% on their 2010 membership subscriptions if they register their interest by October 31.

The BWF said an early payment discount meant members could save a maximum 27.5% on their subscription.

“All businesses are required to take out employer’s liability insurance, which can come at a huge cost which employers may find hard to cover in the current economic climate,” said BWF chief executive Richard Lambert.

Mr Lambert said the BWF had been working with Towergate to improve insurance covers which had now been tailored for the needs of the joinery industry.

The BWF also recently unveiled include a free credit-checking service.
