Carpentry and joinery specialist BW Consultants (BWC) Ltd has achieved BM TRADA Certification’s Q-Mark for the Survey and Installation of Windows and External Doorsets as it looks to attain Secured by Design (SbD) status for its products.
Hertfordshire-based BWC said third-party accreditation would give its customers peace of mind that their windows and doors are installed to the highest standard, as well as being an essential part of its pursuit of SbD.
“We decided to go down the Q-Mark route because we wanted to differentiate ourselves from other installers,” said managing director Steve West.
“Another goal was to be registered for SbD and for this we needed third-party certification. We chose to work with BM TRADA because of our mutual expertise in timber and construction.”
BWC has recently completed the installation of 38 Mighton Ecotilt sliding sash windows at a multi-million pound development for Laing O’Rourke in Tooley St in London.
