BioRegional Charcoal Company and Butterfly Conservation are working together to boost butterfly numbers by selling locally produced barbecue charcoal.
BioRegional charcoal is made from wood harvested by re-introducing coppicing which in turn leads to woodland flowers flourishing and attracting butterflies.
The charcoal, which carries the Forest Stewardship Council logo, will be available at B&Q stores nationwide.
