BuildStore, the specialist Scottish outlet aimed at self-builders and renovators, is now recommending use of Boise BCI Joists in self-build projects.
The company, which has a Self-Build Visitor Centre at Livingston, says BCI joists have more advantages than traditional solid timber joists, including speed and simplicty of installation, lightness and availability in long lengths.
The product, supplied by Bicester-based Boise Building Products Ltd, combines 9.5mm OSB with laminated veneer lumber flanges.
