The two-year scheme already has its first two recruits – Simon Brooks, a biochemistry and microbiology graduate from the University of Sheffield, plus Jonathon Fry, a graduate from the National School of Forestry.

The pair will be based at various BSW mills around the UK, attend leadership training courses alongside other supervisors and managers and be able to share their ideas for the business.

BSW said knowledge and expertise of people made BSW the company it was today. "We’re committed to investing in promising business talent," it said.
