Brooks Bros UK has set up a new division to develop its sales of clears and cladding.
The just-launched Northern Region Clears Department, based at Brooks Skelmersdale site, is headed by Andrew Goto and complements the company’s southern clears operation at Danbury.
The new department, said Mr Goto will bring more focus to the company’s clears and cladding business in the north, Midlands and Scotland .
“And it’s backed with good stockholding and value adding processing; machining, laminating, lacquering and preservative and fire retardant treatment, all of which are done within the company,” he said.
He added that Brooks Northern Region’s cladding display at the Ecobuild show in March made a “significant impact”. It also already has a track recored for supplying prestigious projects, including government, university, school and hospital developments with western red cedar, thermowood, and douglas fir cladding and louvres.
Most recently it has supplied the cedar shingles cladding for the Archipod spherical garden office building designed by Chris Sneesby, which will be at the Grand Designs exhibition in May.
