British Wood Floors recorded its best month in April, turning over £100,000, and has plans to extend its business to cover more of the UK.
The company, formed 18 months ago, has also seen its capacity rocket following a recent £2m expanion of parent company Smee Timber Ltd‘s facility at Winsford, Cheshire. The site has increased from 4,000m2 to 7,000m2, with production now standing at 1,500m2 of flooring per week.
General manager of British Wood Floors Mick Mellor said the company hoped to take on more sales representatives to increase the geographic spread of business.
At the moment 90% of orders come from central London, typically for individual properties and flagship shops.
“We can probably increase the sales by another 20% over the next few months. There should be some very prestigious work going on in cities like Manchester and Liverpool.” |
