Yellow balau decking worth £30,000 has been supplied to a huge residential and commercial project in Bristol by International Timber.

The timber company supplied Houston Cox Interiors with the product for the Old Brewery Quarter development, consisting of 400 apartments and commercial space.

Apartment balconies and public terraces have been fitted with the balau, which was chosen because of its durability and natural resistance to fungus and insects.

“The hard-wearing nature of the yellow balau timber means it can cope with the stress of use in public areas, as well as offering an attractive and practical balcony solution for the apartments,” said Scott Short, quantity surveyor at Houston Cox Interiors.
