Brazil has released figures which show Amazon deforestation has increased dramatically, mainly because of soya farming.
Satellite image data released shows deforestation increased by 490km² in the months of March/April compared to a year ago.
The Brazilian government has flagged up its concern and it aims to reduce the forest loss in the coming months.
The soya bean industry in the state of Mato Grosso was responsible for much of the loss.
