Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd has entered into consultation with staff over the possible loss of 45 jobs.
Bradfords, part of the Bradfords Group which includes Snows Timber, Crendon Timber Engineering and WJ Handrahan & Son Ltd, said the cuts are part of a number of measures it is considering to reduce costs.
The move, which does not affect Bradford’s timber businesses, will affect around 10% of the workforce across its 27 sites.
“We regret the concern that this process will cause to all of our employees,” the company said in a statement.
