The release of 2-8B is a major upgrade with more than 620 changes and improvements to the CounterAct software. All Border customers receive system updates as part of their support contract.

Highlights of the issue include the ability to mass-release delivery notes, an option to use thermal printers to print account collection and return notes, as well as cash receipts.

Border has also added improvements to the way electronic signature capture pads operate for account collected sales. Other enhancements include the ability to determine how effective a supplier is by using information data provided by CounterAct that shows supplier orders that have been delivered on time, in full or not arrived, for example.

Finally, Border has enhanced the way CounterAct deals with specials. Users can now set a default analysis group for specials from a supplier as well as specify the default margin that businesses should be making on new special products from a particular supplier.

Full issue notes will be sent to all users when they receive the upgrade. Border will also be producing YouTube videos to support and highlight the most useful enhancements and to help users get the most from their investment in CounterAct.

CounterAct is developed in-house at Border’s offices in Monmouth.
