Border has announced that its parent company Hermitage Innovation Group (HIG) has recently completed the acquisition of a web development company – Wkdcode Ltd, based in Northamptonshire.

Wkdcode has many years’ experience in delivering web and e-commerce projects. It has significant Magento expertise to add to what’s currently available via Stratus 21; Border’s existing web development business.

This now gives Border access to 14 full time UK-based web developers working on e-commerce and web development in the Group.

Part of the strategy is to be able to offer this additional expertise to Border customers on a bespoke basis, but also to accelerate Border’s already considerable integrated B2B web development.

Border has been working with merchants for more than 20 years and has been developing web trading sites for the last three.

“The Wkdcode business has seen solid growth over the last five years and we hope that with the support of our Group we can see that growth accelerate,” said Paul Deane, group managing director of HIG.

He said Wkdcode brought the number of software companies in the group to five and was evidence of its determination to grow and build a significant web development resource to help Border’s customers to develop their own unique businesses.
